Hole #18 - Lochside - Par 4 - 360 / 310 Yards - S.I. - 9 / 9

Most likely the signature hole on the course. On a clear day, pause a moment on the elevated 18th tee to take in the panoramic views stretching as far south as Bressay & Noss, all the way up the mainland to the northern islands of Yell, Fetlar, Unst and Skerries. The tee looks down on to the fairway, which doglegs left all the way around a loch to the green. The green is reachable over the water, but with a carry of 280 yards, it’s really only an option for the big hitters. For the rest, it’s a case of how much can you risk cutting the corner! If the wind comes up, it will play a part in your decision here too. The farther right you play off the tee, the more difficult the 2nd shot becomes. Go too far right and you’re likely to be in heavy rough, facing the prospect of teeing up again. The left side of the flat green sits slightly out into the loch and there’s a greenside bunker front right. After the handshakes, the clubhouse is only a few yards away.
