Hole #1 - Auld Hoose - Par 4 - 397 / 302 Yards - S.I. - 8 / 10

We start with one of the longer Par 4’s. After the tee shot, the fairway turns slightly left and downhill, so the ideal shot here is left of the marker post, as this will considerably shorten the 2nd shot in to the green. However, get too greedy left, catch the slope and you could easily find yourself Out of Bounds. A burn crosses the fairway about 35 to 40 yards from the front edge of the green, so a drive out to the right will bring this into consideration for your 2nd shot. You may have to lay up short to avoid the risk of a penalty drop. A flat two tier green lies in wait, overlooked by the “Auld Hoose”.
